Dr. Mark Atma: Dr. Atma is a 1988 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. He grew up on the Detroit area and in rural Indiana. From childhood up to adulthood, he has always felt a great affinity toward animals and toward the human-animal bond. His hobbies include hiking, kayaking, gardening and bicycling. He continues to have a great interest in nature and wilderness. He is married to Dr. Ruth TenBroek and together, they manage the Pennfield Animal Hospital. They have 3 children, 4 horses, 12 cats, and one dog. Dr. Atma sees appointments most weekdays and select Saturday mornings and does routine surgeries on Tuesday and Thurdays. Dr. TenBroek's primary attention currently is in raising and educating their children. |

Dr. Beth Tucker Dr. Tucker attended Michigan State University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree (1995) and her doctoral degree (1997). She also hails from the Detroit area. She is married and has 2 children. Pets have been her passion for a long time. She currently has 2 cats, Otto and Jasmine. She enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, and traveling. Dr. Tucker sees appointments on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. |

Dr. Kate Magers
Dr. Magers attended Harvard University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in 1999, and then attended Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine for her doctoral degree (2005), during which time she took a course in wildlife and capture medicine in South Africa. After vet school, she completed a year-long internship in internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, neurology, and emergency medicine at Animal Emergency and Referral Center in the Chicago area. She spent a year in Kalamazoo working at Kalamazoo Animal Hospital, and then 4 years in Kalamazoo practicing emergency medicine at Southwest Michigan Animal Emergency Hospital before joining the staff at Pennfield Animal Hospital in late 2010. She is originally from Pennfield, and she and her husband Chris, their children, and their dog live in Battle Creek. She enjoys writing, snowboarding, watersports, camping, and traveling. |

Dr. Connie Sveller Dr. Sveller has practiced medicine as a relief veterinarian at Pennfield Animal Hospital since 2005. As a relief veterinarian, Dr. Sveller works weekly at our clinic as well as other veterinary clinics in the state. "Doc Connie" graduated from Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985 and in 1998 she opened her own practice in Swartz Creek, MI. In 2005, she decided to semi-retire. She sold her practice and began her career as a relief veterinarian. |

Dr. Sveller and her husband, Rick, have been married for 25 years and have a grown son, Shane. She is pictured with her dog Taz and her late cat Tiger. |
