Support Staff

Support Staff
We have a friendly staff to greet you at the front desk and to answer your telephone calls.  Specially trained assistants will show you into the exam room, ask for a brief history of your pet, and prepare any vaccinations or prescriptions the doctor has recommended.  Our dedicated and caring support staff is here to take good care of your pet, as they would a member of their own family.

We strive to promote continued training and education for all staff members in order to keep up-to-date on recent advances in veterinary medical knowledge. Our doctors routinely attend continuing education seminars.

We have a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) on staff, fully accredited, and specially trained to perform a variety of routine technical support tasks.  Phlebotomy (blood draws), laboratory testing, hospitalized patient management (general nursing care), dental prophylaxis, anesthesia, and surgery support are but a few of the specialized tasks of our technician to help the veterinarians keep your pets in good health.

Jennifer joined our veterinary team in November of 1997, and works as our Certified Veterinary Assistant.

She has owned a variety of pets through the years, everything from dogs and cats to reptiles and chinchillas.  She is a board member and treasurer of Alley Cat Angels, a local non-profit spay/neuter organization for feral cats.  Jennifer also runs her own grooming and home pet sitting business.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, baking, bowling, and making handcrafted cards.

Niaomi has worked at PAH since 2006.  She divides her time at the clinic between working up front as a receptionist, and in back tending to the hospitalized pets.  However, she considers her true role here to be Animal Smoocher.

Niaomi and her husband enjoy their spare time at home with their 3 cats and 1 dog.

She is currently pursuing a degree in Social work paired with Animal Assisted Therapy.

Chris has been with Pennfield Animal Hospital since 1987 when Dr. Luneke owned the practice.  She remained on staff when Dr. Atma and Dr. TenBroek became the new owners.  Chris works as receptionist and Exam Room Assistant.

She enjoys spending time with her friends and family; especially her 2 grandchildren.

Jessie has worked at the clinic since 2010 as a receptionist.  She spends much of her time with her 3 beloved pets, Molly, a friendly yet sassy Blue Heeler, Jose the Chihuahua, and Sweeney Todd, her crazy fat cat.

She enjoys spending time with her family, bowling on a league with friends, and snow boarding when she can find the time.

Veterinary Assistant Mary has been with PAH since March of 2003.  Assisting the doctors with wellness visits and caring for hospitalized pets are her favorite aspects of the job.

Her love for animals extends to her own menagerie: 3 lovable dachshunds, 5 eccentric cats, and 3 rabbits.

She also enjoys reading and gardening (with the help of 3 digging dogs!).  Married to husband Bryan, they have raised 4 children together and are expecting their first Grand Baby!
